Copper and copper jewellery featured heavily in early civilisations and the earliest known piece of copper jewellery dates to the eighth millennium BC. Its' use in jewellery making is just as long and illustrious. Today copper is widely used to create very modern artistic jewellery. It pairs beautifully with almost any gemstone and is very easy to work with.
